This next series of lessons will focus on what I think are the fundamentals of acoustic blues playing. If you already play a little guitar (and even if you don't) you will get ideas for how to play a steady bass and holding a simple groove. We also focus on a couple licks that you may find useful to incorporate into your playing. I hope you enjoy this next lesson series, especially designed for the absolute beginner.
Thank you.
Corey

Hi Mr. Harris,
I would like to thank you one more time for spending time with us at SMC the morning of you show there. (I was the guy standing in the corner warring the baseball cap.) Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see your show as all the student tickets were sold out by the time I got there. So in the ideal of teaching a man to fish, I will study from your depth of knowledge and see what I can catch onto.
Thanks again and looking forward becoming a much better blues guitar player from your lessons!
Greetings and thanks for your words here. I'm very honored. It was great being at SMC...sorry you were not able to get in.
Welcome to sonic junction...feel free to post videos, comment, etc. If you have any questions please contact me here and I'll get back to you. Have fun!
Thank you, Corey. Your lessons warm this ole gal's heart and bring me back home.
thank you very much.
Thanks for good lesson!@
Thanks for watching.
Thanks Corey!
Thanks to you also William.
Greetings Sensei! I'm quite new around both guitar playing and Sonic Junction. I found this lesson particularly inspiring, so here's my first shot at the blues' fundamentals. I'd greatly appreciate your feedback, which, for sure, will enlighten my path. Cheers!
Great job Jano, I wish you were around here in Floida so I could jam with you on harp!
Greetings Jano and thank you for your post. You have a great ear for detail and your guitar sounds great. You have a steady bass and you dont rush the tempo. NIce job. I would suggest that you try experimenting the hammer on with your left index finger. Instead of hammering on just oncein that little space of time, try a faster hammer on (two or three times) in that same space in time. I hope this makes sense. Keep up the good work.
Hi Bob and thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately I live quite far away... Greetings from Santiago, Chile!
Hi Corey and thank you very much for your comments! Regarding the hammering, it definitely gives an extra nice taste to the exercise. I'll keep practicing on it. And regarding my next step on the path of acoustic blues, I'll definitely go for the BASS RUNS AND A SIMPLE SHUFFLE, plus a tune in the key of E with some Chicago shuffle to it... Trouble in Mind looks like a good start. I'll keep you posted and thanks again for your kind reply!!
That sounds great. Keep up the good work.
