Solo and Ending Breakdown

Corey Harris Lesson >

Sugar Blues > Solo and Ending Breakdown

In this lesson we will briefly discuss ideas for soloing as well as how to end the tune. Once you learn the finger positions, don't be afraid to create your own simple solo lines. Remember that any ending you create should be simple, direct, and in keeping with the rhythm and give of the song.

Enjoy yourself!

Don't be afraid to try singing...you will get better if you work at it. It is just about finding your own voice over time and of course singing in key. One way is to sing acapella every chance you get. Work on your voice like it is a separate instrument. Don't worry about how you sound just go for it, record yourself and the listen to the results and weed out what you dont like. Also try a lighter touch on the guitar...you sound less at ease with this one, which is ok ..just take your time and enjoy the time spent as best you can. Keep going!
