Greetings Ukulele Lovers Across the Globe!
Welcome back to the Sonic Junction Social Music Corner. It’s party time around in many parts of the world besides Brooklyn. In today’s lesson we’ll learn the Beatles folk classic I’ve just Seen a Face in the key of C. By now, most of you would probably know which chords are involved if I said it’s got the I, the IV, the V, and the relative minor. If you said C, F, G, and Am you’d be right! We’ll revisit the thumb - 1st finger - thumb - 2nd finger picking pattern and incorporate some melodic lines that support the vocal melody. And, as if that weren’t enough, we’ll figure out a nice melodic solo and use some finger brushes for emphasis in the chorus…we’ll do this all in the space of 20 minutes! I think this is one of my best lessons and I hope you like it. Let me know!
