Greetings My Ukulele Family!! We can't talk about social music without looking at some African-American Gospel music. And here we are with a song from the unmistakable Sister Rosetta Tharp. This is great for practicing some minor chords, Dm and Gm, and it offers a beautiful call and response option for the singers. I recommend taking a look at some of the many videos of Sister Rosetta Tharp that are readily available. She's not playing ukulele but she showing what true commitment and creative presentation look like. Drop me a line and let me know how things are going. Do you have a family band? I'd love to see a clip of that too.
Summer time is uking time and here we are people!! Let's make it count!!
