Greetings Fellow Travelers and Guitar Freaks! We’re back with the Rufus Thomas smash hit Walking The Dog. In the first lesson the song took us to the moon. We went over the basic moves that make this rock. In this lesson we’re going to the stars as we learn the intro and some chord variations that can be applied to just about any song in the general blues / soul bag. In many ways it’s like The Rock Island Line in it’s infinite possibilities. It’s my dream that by now you’re doing a lot of singing as you learn these songs. if that’s the case - yay! - and if not, it’s summertime, a time to lift our voices.
