This week we look at the right of Professor Longhairs original, "Tipitina" written in 1953 and released on Atlantic Records label.
I play it with its New Orleans, Mambo-Doo Wop, Carribean feeling. But the right hand plays a constant rhythm that could also fits horns...horn riffs.
Again if you are a guitarist and want to work on your piano chops, this is great lesson for you to study.
Now, don't get caught up in playing the New Orleans piano riffs as you would here this song on played by some...including myself at times. This is primarily a lesson about rhythm.
Metronome! Metronome! Metronome!
Enjoy and by all means....have fun!!!
