Hi there!
This is the third lesson of the song, "You Can Make It If You Try", I'm pretty excited about this lesson, and if I may say so myself...I think it's a really good one! LOL!
Here we learn a variation of our song. Rhythmic variations are fun and exciting especially after you've got the foundation of the song under your belt. Exploring different rhythmic variations, which does change the style and at times the genre, can be so personalizing and revitalizing!
This lesson we will play, "You Can Make It If You Try", in the style of Fats Domino, "the triplet style"...made famous by early New Orleans R&B music.
Keep it simple. Once you get it go back and pay close attention to the 'attack', which gives you a great feel when played with authority. Do not forget to look into the accenting and 'Doo-Wop' sliding of the third.
So there you have it!!! I'm pretty excited for you!
Enjoy this lesson and reach out to let me know if there's anything more I can help you with!
We're moving ' in the right direction!
