Hey There, Harpers!
This week we tackle the 2nd chorus of my chromatic piece “Moan-a-Chrome” and we learn something important here. The lick and pattern we focus on here is actually the Minor Pentatonic Scale, which is just the Blues Scale minus one note. This pattern will be very important to learn, and to have as a foundation in your chromatic harmonica knowledge base. Also, since each octave of the chromatic harmonica is tuned the same, the pattern just repeats itself up and down the harp and this makes navigating around the chromatic easier than the diatonic actually! If you have skills to play patterns on the diatonic harp, this will not be difficult for you, you just need to start getting used to the size and feel of the chromatic.
Enjoy this second chorus, and see you next week!

Hi Dennis,
On the distorted notes, are you always bleeding into the hole above? And are you doing those TB?
Thanks.
Hi Bill - Yes, and yes! Good questions!
