Hi,
Dennis Gruenling here with the next installment of my first Chromatic harmonica study piece - Moan-A-Chrome! This section features some licks and patterns I made up while utilizing notes in the minor pentatonic scale, which is one note shy of the blues scale. For techniques, we are mainly going to be using some tongue vamps, some split intervals, and distorted notes. Nothing really new technique-wise, but it may just feel a little different on a chromatic harmonica now. The patterns over the I chord here especially will be good for better memorization of the scale here on the chromatic. Don’t forget to take your time and have fun along the way, as you are moaning these blues!
Dennis
