This week folks we finish up Honky Tonk with the low string riffs behind the sax solo and the great ending chorus with it's stop time and off beat guitar finale. During the sax solo Billy switches to a great driving shuffle riff for a few choruses (possibly to relieve his left hand of the main part in F!) that elevate the groove before returning to the main rhythm part and the. The final chorus which is killer. The stop time break leads to the groovy and very tricky off time part that has to be one of the coolest double stop riffs ever played on guitar culminating in a blues line ending leading to an unlikely major 7th chord at the end! As a guitar piece this is an example of one of most perfect performances ever recorded. Sheer magic...... Enjoy, Duke

Like so many other guitar player's I've been playing this song for years but not neccessarily right. With these lessons i am that much closer. I still need practice, particularily on the turnarounds.
