Thanks Micha!! There really is no right or wrong answer as to when to choose a certain position.
If you ask me, this is my real answer: You always want to choose the position that best suits your ability to play the certain song the best. Blues (natural blues and minor blues) can be easily played in both 2nd or 3rd position, as well as blues-type song styles (swing, rock & roll, blues shuffle, etc...)...so my answer is always to choose the position that you feel the most comfortable with for that particular song, or the position you want to explore the most with that type of song. 3rd can be great for any style of blues, as long as you know your way around that position to play the way you want.
Thanks Dennis! For a great reply.... Best regarads/Micha

? Perhaps stupid question but i have to ask!! Great lesson or me.... Thanks/Micha.
