Et voila, second try, I work on the singing but I feel not yet satisfied. I should go in US, to get the accent. Do you have a special accent? Where does it come from? Is there still areas (like in the old times, Mississipi or Louisiane state) where many traditionnal bluesman musician live, or you can find them anywhere. Is there traditionnal blues from north america? or it all come from the mississipi delta? Sorry to ask so many question. Maybe it's better I read books about it. Do you have any recommandation?
Christo, sounds like you need to see the Martin Scorsese documentary on the blues... you'll be even more stoked on the lessons you're taking afterward, I guarantee!!!
Nice work in the guitar playing and your rhythm is good. As for accent just sing how it feels comfortable to you. Don't think about trying to sound like someone else. There are some places in the south where you can find traditional bluesmen. For example, in Virginia we have Jeff Scott, and in North Carolina there is John Dee Holeman. Some traditional players such as Michael Roach and Eric Bibb, live overseas. Search on Google for more info.
I think you should try to post, it's fun to do it. when I recorded my homework I made many progress, because I wanted to show something not too bad. So I record it almost 30 times before I post this last one. I used to play guitar a long time ago but there was nothing like sonic junction before. With great artists that are willing to explain very slowly, and the possibility to exchange with them. So far I'm happy to join it I hope I'll have time to continue.
Thanks to share. Your lesson is very clear. I had some hard time to damp the bass, I wasn't sure about it. What do you think? I have the feeling that the sound of the guitar is not loud enough, maybe I should play harder.
