I love the Guitar Groove-A-Rama album, Duke! Hey, slightly unrelated question, and I hope you don't mind: I just discovered an album of Percy Mayfield songs by Johnny Adams called Walking on a Tightrope. And I see you in the credits with some other amazing musicians. I'm in Australia, and I would love to know where I'd find a CD copy of it. I've checked Rounder's websites and those records seem to be few and far between there, too.
Hi Neil, I would try Amazon or eBay for that recording. It's quite old and most likely not in print anymore but you can probably find a used copy online. It's a good one!

It's crazy, but I only discovered this album this week, and here I am, haha. Love the "Chicago" voicing with the Eb7 example, without the third. Very 'glassy' sounding. Thanks Duke.

Cheers! Loving the lessons. :)

Argh, those tritones down low had me stumped. Thanks Duke, sorted. Just curious: do you remember what you used for that on the album?
