Greetings Ukuleleists and Other Fine Friends! This Scottish song says “Oh, the summer time is coming…” and yes, it is, so let’s sing about it. This is one of my all-time favorite social music songs and if you don’t know it you’ll soon see why. As far as the ukulele goes we’re going to be in the key of D and we’ll be learning a few new chords, the F#m and the Bm. I won’t soft peddle it, we’ve had chords that take 2 minutes to learn and the F#m isn’t really in that category. It might take a bit of practice, likewise with the Bm, but these are moveable chords and once you have them you’ll be in great shape for so many more songs down the line. AND if you’ve come this far with me there’s no doubt in my mind that you can master these before the weekend is over. Stay loose and stay positive and let me know how you’re doing with this.
Thank you for joining me here at The Sonic Junction!
