Greetings My Fine Ukulele Freaks! How are you doing with the Scottish masterpiece Wild Mountain Thyme? Have you been leading sing alongs? The summer time is coming and the trees are sweetly blooming around here so you know this song has been in the air here in Brooklyn. In this lesson we’ll look at the strumming hand, explore a pull-off or two, talk about relaxing (again!) and touch on the idea of harmonies for this song. That’s a lot right there and as you know by now this is how we’re moving forward - using these songs to explore the bigger concepts that you’ll be applying to all the others you decide to learn along the way. For me a big part of this is remembering to enjoy the incremental progress and not get hung up on what I don’t know yet. Celebrate the achievements and bring other people along for the ride whenever possible. It’s an adventure and I’m glad to be in it with you. Let me know how you’re doing with things so far!
