We're re-issuing one of Dennis's most popular lessons with re-mastered video and updated loop points. From Dennis:
Hi Everyone - This week we start working on an original 3rd Position instrumental of mine called Boxed Up. It is a shuffle with an ascending "box" pattern on guitar (featuring the great Dave Gross). It's a great place to start learning some more 3rd position harp, as I made up little melodic ideas for each section and utilize several techniques and most of the harp to do this. Remember to start getting comfortable hanging around holes 1 draw and 4 draw since these are your root notes in this position. You will also need to be a little more precise than usual with some bends, but this will open new doors for possibilities for you, especially if you are just starting out or still getting comfortable with 3rd position.
Hope you dig it!!
- Dennis Gruenling
