Hi Folks,
This week is new tune time! We will be learning an old song that was a staple of the swing/jazz repitoire for many decades. It's, Back Home Again, In Indiana and it's a fun song with some nice changes. As always we start with the chords which should be familiar to you who have been here awhile. There are a few more of them but it's a simple song with an A and a B section. It's a beautiful song and a favorite of mine. It's been done at a moderate tempo to a jumpin' jazz flag waver tempo. So get the rhythm down and next week we learn the melody. It's also the model and chord progression for Charlie Parker's "Donna Lee."
Enjoy!
