Hi Folks, This week lesson is on the last A section of the Flying Home solo. It's a fairly simple one (for a Charlie Christian solo) all the riffs are based on very standard fingering with nothing to confuse you or tie your fingers in knots! Just good basic swinging riffs to conclude the solo section. Enjoy and send us some videos!

is there a jam track to flying home?
Hi Scott, In case you did not find it... The backing track can be played by pressing the icon as shown in the screenshot above. As far as I know there is no way to download the backing tracks directly.
Cheers, Marty
Thank you Mike
BTW, is there a privacy button or is Peter and I the ones who have posted on this lesson?
Hi Steve --- good question. Everything is public --- just like a Masterclass. That way everyone benefits from the interaction. I've heard from a lot of people that they love seeing videos --- so thanks again for posting.
good! Threre are a few places where you need to work on the timing of the lines but in general it sounds really good. And the most important part is...... you swing! great job! Duke
Hey Thanks Duke
Coming from you that it is a real shot of encouragement.
Steve
Hey Duke
I finally got a chance to put the solo together. It's still a work in progress with respect to the timing but i am happy with my understanding of the basics. I still am not at the improvisatioin point yet.
Cheers eh.
Steve
Hi Steve --- you sound great! It's cool seeing you bring it all together.
Hi Peter, Good try, some parts are sounding good. I have trouble with this one myself. I can improvise in that style but playing CC note for note is not an easy task. So that said, getting any licks you can add to your arsenal is a good thing. I'd say keep, working on it and more of it will seem natural after a while. I have a run through coming if it's not up yet and I would be embarrassed to say how many tries it took for me to even get close. A worthy challenge though for sure! Duke
Very nice lesson. How about teaching us to play "Big Boy" by Bill Jennings? Thanks Duke!
I'll put that one on the list Matt.
