Hi Friends,
I'm excited about hearing you all play "Lost Mind" and posting your videos after this lesson! This week I play along with the track and demonstrate how the melody should sound and also I improvise a solo where the sax is on the original record, demonstrating how you could approach it before playing the last A section and the tag. The total form here is a chorus and a half coming back to the bridge (solo) after playing the first full chorus. Let's hear some versions on posts please.
Enjoy!
Duke

Hey, great videos on this one! Cool stuff, Charlie and Marty!
Hope you enjoy my take on this, Duke! I'm using my Harmony Statotone that I'm guessing is about a 1960. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi Duke,
Here's my cut. Ideally I would have waited a month to give it some polish, but this is the raw first attempt. Pretty sloppy in places, but hopefully the ideas are in the zone. I could hear (but not play) how Kenny Burrell might approach it in places. Thanks as always for the inspiration and instruction Duke!
