Hello Folks,
This week we are starting a new tune but also trying something different. I am going to teach several ways to interpret a song. The song is See See Rider and this week we will do a version based on the original Ma Rainey recording in the key of E. I simulate the basic feel of the original acoustically and use the original chord progression. I demonstrate a simple way to approach playing it acoustic or electric. In the following weeks I will do different styles of the same song like a jump blues, soul jazz and a band slow blues. I'll show you why I use different chords for the different versions and how to approach each version differently.
This should be fun!
Enjoy,
Duke

Hi Duke,
Such a long time since I posted a video to you…Divorcing can be complicated enough sometimes for a good man to do something else…
Anyway, here’s my best effort in CC Rider…I’ve tried to keep it simple as you said !
Nice. How you liking the Recording King? I picked one up a few weeks before lockdown and been messing around with some slide (got the time to now!)
