Hi Folks,
This week we are working on the fourth solo chorus for See See Rider. I tried to demonstrate on this chorus more dynamics by building the solo up by use of all the usual techniques I employ rhythmically, using different positions, repeated figures, double stops etc. Always remember a good solo has a begining, a middle, a climax and an ending of it's more that a few choruses and should tell a story in musical feeling. Let's see some videos!
Enjoy,
Duke

The ever so gradual dynamic build up, the lyricism, the building of motifs and the rock solid rhythm in this example demonstrate why you are one of the greats, Duke. Inspirational. Thanks for this.
