We're re-issuing one of Chris's most popular lessons with re-mastered video and updated loop points. From Chris:
Happy Almost-New Year Everyone!
In keeping with the Holiday spirit I wanted to show you a slightly bluegrassified way to play the anthem of New Year's Eve, Auld Lang Syne. It's a great melody and like many other great melodies, it can withstand being recast in a different light. The trick to playing this version is getting the Bluegrass rhythm guitar "motor" going in your right hand. Once you've got that try adding a few melody notes in slowly, as if you were just playing the skeleton of the melody. Then as that becomes comfortable fill in the skeleton a bit more until you can play it all simultaneously. It's a great melody - enjoy!
And here's to a great new year for you all!
Cheers!
Chris
