Hello Sonic Harpers!
This week we wrap up my Boogie On The I jam, and there is a lot of riffing going on in this final section. Taking it home as we connect back even more with the rhythmic groove of the song, so pay particular attention to the groove and the timing here. We will be utilizing more chords and groove-based riffs, even including some octaves and split intervals. Two of the main reasons I wanted to do this Jam on just the I chord are to work on 1) phrasing and ideas with no chord changes to rely on, and 2) controlling our breath, even as the song, the groove, and sometimes even the notes sound very intense. These are two very important skills to have as a musician who plays the harmonica and I was excited to bring this piece to you here on Sonic Junction - I hope you enjoyed it!!
