Greetings Summer Ukesters! I’m not sure why but in my mind warm weather calls for sea shanties. It may not be summer where you are but go along with me here…In this lesson we’re going to take the classic work song Cape Cod Girls - something that would have originally been sung A Capella - put it in the key of E, give it a shuffle feel, and turn it into a dance party song. Easy! We’ll also talk about leading this as a group sing along, keeping in mind that sea shanties were designed for call and response. Let me know if your Ukulele playing is taking to to strange and wonderful places this summer, you know it’s good for that! And of course let me know if you have any questions or thoughts of any kind, I’m here for you.
