Hi there Sonicites!!!
This lesson features the song, "Careless Love", recorded by everyone from guitar/banjo legend Danny Barker to Dr. John, Janis Joplin and the list could go on forever. Here, we study the left hand in the key of Bb. The lesson is also a small left hand 'stride' kind of lesson.
Practice with a metronome.
If this is a bit advanced, I recommend studying my past left hand lessons. We are on a journey, but the good thing is you can travel at your own pace...just be consistent! Consistency is the key.
Again, metronome...metronome...metronome!
If you've got any questions, I'm here to help, just send me a message!

Hi Davell,
I'm a little confused about this lesson. The sheet music is in F, but you're saying you're playing in the key of B flat?
Hi Davell,
Ive just started to learn piano on an old 85 key upright that i picked up . It needs some work doing to it but im managing. Are the placements of the chords slightly different or is the piano just slightly out of key? Any feedback would be great, thanks!

This is "If You're Lonely" by the great James Booker in F on my 1897 Steinway upright. The tune is not covered in any lessons here, but I learned it using the methods taught on Sonic Junction by Davell! Can we get some new Davell lessons on Sonic Junction, PLEASE?!?!?!?! Bring back Davell!!!!
