Hello,
This week I’ll be showing you how to play the A section to Cherokee Shuffle. The A section to this tune, to me, is one of the most satisfying melodies to play out of a G position on guitar. There’s something about how the top of the melody (pentatonic) releases into the C chord (and the melody turns to a major scale) that gets me every time. You don’t even have to think about those things at all to be able to play Cherokee Shuffle, but I think that change is one of the things that makes this melody tick.
Killer tune! Enjoy!
Chris
