Coney Island Avenue - Ukulele Lesson Greetings all Ukulele players and sympathizers!
Here we are once again in the wonderland known as Social Music. In this lesson we’ll be learning Coney Island Avenue. It's a song that has yet to be considered a classic but it’s an easy one to learn and to teach people. This song is in the key of A and it’s more or less a blues based number. We’ll look at some percussive strumming and learn 2 blues scale based riffs - one that appears repeatedly in the middle of the song and one that serves as a turnaround after each verse. Since I wrote this humble ditty I’ll take a minute to cheer you on if you’re considering writing songs of your own. All that in under half an hour, another great day with you all here at the Junction!! Please let me know what you think of all this…..
