In this lesson we will learn how to play in the fifth position in open A or 'spanish' tuning. This will enable you to play in the key of E while tuned in open A, a very useful skill when playing slide in open tunings. Start with getting comfortable with the alternating bass and then move on to sounding out the melody with the slide. Take your time and mind your tempo and rhythm. Of course it always helps to keep time with your foot as you play.
I hope you enjoy this one.

I love this song. Now I know why I got stuck, your playing E in an open A!
Yes...you got it. How is it going so far?
it's going well. a couple of minor spots I might double tap a bass line. real close to getting it. Now focusing on the break part. I gave up on this one a long time a go. you have a bass player on the cut I heard, I just thought he was doing the line I couldn't figure out using the open A string. I was trying to play it inOpen E and went nuts trying to figure out the bass line!
FAR OUT !!!!! how am i gonna keep up?top stuff Corey !!!!!!!!!!!
