Hi Friends,
This week we're working on soloing on Wash Out by Freddy King. I admit I had a hell of a time trying to learn and teach the solo on this one because of Freddy's rapid fire off the cuff playing on this one but I demonstrate some of the basics of his main licks on this one and also have a take in which I improvise a solo employing some of his ideas. The point I am making anyway is to learn to improvise in his style as I do on my track of it. It was much easier to play like him for me at 19 than 72! Not much I can do about that but let's hear what you all can do with it now to the track.
Enjoy!
Duke

Great lesson Duke, and great advice! I've been thinking about what it means to play like "yourself" (or me ; ) for a while now. Really encouraging to hear it from you. Here's a rough cut....
