Hi Folks,
This week we are doing another chorus of solo for Glide On. This lesson includes more Bill Jennings licks. Starting with a device he uses often with the 3rd to the high Bb then the 4 to the root the flat 5 up to the 5 and root. Simple but effective sounding. We also play a diminished run four and end up with a cool boppish lick to resolve the solo from the 2 minor 7 then flat 2 substituting for the 5 to end the chorus.
Lots of fun stuff here then next week we go on with one more chorus of soloing which has a great double timed lick I use often.
Enjoy!

I love how the automated page turning! Really very nice. I wish you could turn it off, however, when going through the entire lesson. I wanted to reference the other page and it kept change it back, so I made a PDF for that part.
Great lesson, Duke! Very cool solo, and wonderful rhythmical ideas. Thanks so much for it!
Bruce
Hey Marty, Sounds great, you nailed it! Duke

Forgot the lights. Thanks again for this lesson. There is a lot here to work with.
Looking forward to the next lesson but that by no means I have learned all there is to learn from this one.
Cheers

Hi All --- thanks for the feedback on the new sheet music. For this lesson --- we're specifically interested in how the automated page turning worked for people on Duke's run-through. Thanks.
