Ive always loved your playing Duke since i first heard you about 20 odd years ago.. its great with todays technology to able to pick up some tips.. your swing blues playing is fantastic !!
Hey RJ ----just saw some of your stuff on utube ....love it
kind regards Terry
I get it about the "quotes" as you put it. When I saw you play at Viper Alley last month, I heard you reference "Im Beggining To See The Light." a few times.
Markod, That is something I can help you with and will put it on my list of upcoming lessons. Thanks, Duke
Duke,
I really love these lessons. One thing I would like to work on is incorporating the one six two five turnaround in a jazz/blues song such as Route 66. I know the chords that would go with that but would like to work on how to solo over the one six two five parts.
Thanks
Mark Margolies
That's a great idea guys. We'll work on that. Thanks for the input! Duke
Great lesson Duke! I agree with Jason, I'd like to see the chord changes above the tab, it really does help in understanding the phrasing and also applying them to different keys.
This is really great! I love the way Duke plays this style. One suggestion though. I would like to see the changes. So, I can relate what he is playing to the chords. This would also apply to the head as well.
