Hi Friends,
This week's lesson is the intro guitar verse to Lowell Fulson's Lovin' You. It's a great Lowell Blues laid back shuffle feel this is so indicative of much of Lowell's music. This is one of my favorite tracks and his playing here is a perfect example of his unique style. I demonstrate my example of the first guitar chorus and the guitar riffs, bends, rakes and little techniques he uses to make his style.
Enjoy!
Duke

Hello Folks, Sorry I have been absent for quite a while. I am recovering now from rotator cuff surgery and it's coming along slow and steady. Hopefully after a few more weeks of PT I'll be back at it! Keep on working on the lessons here and good luck with it! Duke
Hi Stevieboy, Good job on digesting the vibe on Lowell's style, Keep it up!
Hey Duke. From your recommendation I've been listening a lot to Lowell Fulson and Fenton Robinson. They remind me a lot of each other. So much emotion in the flurry of notes they play. Thanks for introducing to us to these outstanding musicians. Ive got the rhythm down. Now I'm heading into the storm of the lead. You are a great teacher. I'm learning so much about the music of the artists and their licks.
