Hello!

This week’s lesson is pretty straightforward: I’ll be teaching you to play the melody to this wonderfully crooked tune. In addition there’s a pep talk and antecdote regarding different ways of counting music. John Hartford himself counted this tune in a way that makes no sense to me, but he and I both figured our methods so that we could understand the rhythmic structure, and that’s what matters.
