This week we'll be working on the second vocal verse. We'll start this time with the tag from the previous verse, doing a slightly different, stutter-step variation on Sonnyboy's signature tag lick. From there we'll move on to the actual start of the verse. This second vocal verse contains a little punctuation chord, and more call & response with some fanning that ends in a glissando punctuated with clipped chords at the close of the gliss. And remember: these fills need to stay in the pocket.
As always, tone is important and groove is king.
