Rhythm Changes > B Section Solo

Hello Friends,

This week we are working on alternative soloing ideas for Knock me a kiss. I have provided many lines in second position in F. I also demonstrate playing on the bridge and provide examples for that also. In fact, if you are so inclined you can play the whole song instrumentally. It's a simple tune and works fine as a vocal or instrumental. The bridge is a little different than most songs we've done so it should be fun to work on playing over it. Please feel free to post some videos.

Enjoy!

Duke

Hi Duke can you talk about how to use triads (the words) instead of a scale (alphabet) in a solo

Thanks

Hi Duke,

Here's my take on Knock Me A Kiss. I made a backing track (piano, bass & drums) in iReal then added rhythm and lead guitar parts. As a public service I did not sing it, so my take is an instrumental. I tried to mimic the intro and ending of the Louis Jordan version with some octive slides.

Thanks for the great lesson.
