Greetings Guitar Wizards! Here we are with the third and final look at the Lead Belly classic “The Rock Island Line.” In this lesson we’ll take the C7 shape up the neck to the 7th fret to make a beautifully full E7 chord. This might be my favorite chord anywhere on the neck, it’s so full of potential. We’ll take a look at a bass run that works well with this E7 as well as an A7 and B7 chord that can be played around the 5th and 7th frets of the guitar. It sounds a little dry as I’m writing this but you’ll see when you get there, it’s pure joy!
Thank you for the comments so far, it’s great to hear from you and I look forward to your thoughts on this lesson!
Dan Zanes
