Hi Folks, This week we start a new song. Shivers by the Benny Goodman quartet with Charlie Christian. This is a great tune and really fun to play. It's also fairly simple to play AND it has a very cool CC intro! Were gonna have a great time with this one friends. We start off this week learning the chord progression. It's a simple progression with the A sections being not far off from the blues. So get the chords and rhythm down and next week we will learn the intro and melody.
Enjoy, Duke

How do I save these free lessons (chords and tabs) on my computer please?
Hi Douglas --- welcome to Sonic Junction. You can print out the chords and tab by clicking on the print icon in the upper right corner of the screen. It's a fixed element --- so it's always about an inch down from the top right corner. If you have any further questions --- feel free to get in touch with us via the Contact Us page here:

Hi Graham, Welcome aboard! I'm glad you are enjoying my lessons. You can afford to take your time with my lessons and review one as long as you like to feel like you've digested it. All the best, Duke
OK thanks Mike. Here it is again. What a great song. Thanks Duke. And look forward to the next lesson.
While playing the chords i can help but hear Sweet Geogia Brown - perhaps its the 4-4 rythym.
I got an extra note in the lead hook - chromatic run up.. But hey, what fun. Love it.
What a great song. Thanks Duke. And look forward to the next lesson.
Hi Steve --- it looks like your video upload didn't quite work. Can you try again?
Feel free to contact me via the Contact Us page if you have issues.
Thanks for being a part of Sonic Junction.
That's great Steve, Say hi for me! Duke
Excellent Duke!
Hoping to get to this ASAP.
By the way my band is hosting the after hours show on a bill with Jimmie Vaughan coming up mid August. Would be cool to chat. Cheers
Thanks Tom and Mike!
Claranet...! Kool...!
Great song Duke! I really like your solo from the After Hours Swing Session. Your band sounds great too. Clarinet and Sax solos are awesome and I love the "feel" of the drums.
