Hello Folks, This week concludes the Sonic Shuffle lessons. We close with me demonstrating how to play over the stops section choruses. They are accented heavily by the drums and don't have a drum hit marking the 1 of the first beat of bar 3 so you have to be careful not fall out of time during the stops sections. I am very excited about hear you all play with the track. So continue with this final lesson and get ready to post your videos!
Enjoy,
Duke

Hey Marty, Great job on Sonic Shuffle! That was really fun to listen to wth a lot of creativity and good ideas. This really had a live improvised feel and really great tone! That mustang rocks! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the feedback Duke! I hope to have Romance In The Dark posted this coming weekend.

Hi Duke,
This was a ton of fun. I enlisted my old 67 Fender Mustang for this tune as it had the right vibe to play off what you did on the head. It was fun to work on matching up your timing on the head. You really lay back on the time and that took some practice to get in that groove and not play ahead of you. I finished up with a 2 chorus head and doubled myself on guitar to give it the same feel as the opening head. Thanks for a great lesson and a great track to work with.
Hey Bruce, Thanks for posting this. Sounds good and you made it through the stops! Also liked that you remembered where those drum accents were. Good going! I'd love to hear more of my students give it a try also.
Thanks a lot, Duke! I hope more folks submit videos. I'd love to see them.
Hey Duke! It's really hard to be interesting, emotional AND competent for 12 bars. So I just shot for something in the middle. :-) Thanks for all the inspiration! Best regards, Bruce.
Oops, I meant 12 choruses, not bars. :-)
Hope you are all well and practising! Please put up your takes on Sonic Shuffle and/or Romance in the Dark for me to check out! I'm anxious the hear more! Also feel free to make lesson suggestions!

Duke,
I have been a student for 3 years but have been listening to you for years! I am sending you this video to show you where I am at in my journey of learning the blues. I look forward to your feedback!
Hi Jeff, Thank you for posting your video! I enjoyed it very much and I see you have absorbed a lot of the T-Bone style in your playing. I'm always happy to see that. Sounds great and thanks for working with us here at Sonic Junction.. Duke
Really looking forward to hearing everyone track of Sonic Shuffle soon. Don't be shy now!
Wasn't there supposed to be a backing track that goes with this lesson series?
Hey Michael. There is a track. If you look on the right, you'll see 3 button links. The top one that looks like a play button is the track. Be well! Looking forward to hearing your track! And Duke, thanks so much for this lesson! Super helpful!
Bruce Dumes, Thanks so much. Been on site along time and have never used those button. Ha! Thanks again,
