Hi Folks, here we are on our second lesson for "That's Alright." We work on the second verse as Jimmy Rogers played it in his Chess recording. Very simple low string pattern but now we add in the little fill that's a hammer on the first fret from open G then quickly up to a high open E. This fill is a classic subtle fill that works with many Chicago blues songs and acts as a little break between either 1 or 2 measure units to make a more interesting flow. Then I demonstrate quite a few variations of riffs that you could use if you want to dress it up a bit more. Also if there are 2 guitarists playing one may want to use a few of these parts to offset the simple bass line part. But keep in mind simple is often best in this sort of blues.

@Duke...."There is time to be smooth, there is time to be crude"....I love it!!! :DD.....this is what my uncle used to say me when we talked about women...and you know he was the uncle with the guitar that there's almost in every family (and for my generation...well actually I'm the uncle who plays the guitar") the cool uncle who always give you advices and you accept them because he's doin like a friend instead of takin that kind of position..I'm older so I know more than you....anyway I still remember when I was young and feel insecure about women my uncle sayin me about how to make love with a woman...sex and all that kind of things....Alessandro, when you are on a bed with a woman...there's time to be smooth, and time to be crude!! :DDD....This is the secret to be a perfect lover!! :DD And actually I think he was right!!:DDD...Nice that it works the same with the blues! :DD
