Here again we look at the tune, "There Is Always One More Time", a beautifully written ballad by Doc Pomus, recorded by B.B. King, Johnny Adams, Harry Connick, Jr. and others.
Last week studied this tune in a, 'chordal arpeggio' style. In this lesson we look at the left hand. Playing the changes in the BASS - CHORD style...very close to the basic foundation of Ragtime and Stride Piano; even early Gospel.
This lesson is important so that you may become extremely comfortable with left hand placement. This will be more and more important as you may want to explore Stride, old time Gospel, etc. latter on.
Practice with a metronome!!!
I'm around if you need a little help - be in touch!
