Hello Friends,
For this week's lesson we are working on a solo for Trouble in Mind but we are also working on much more than that in the sense of putting together several different ideas for accompanying the vocal to make it intersting with various interchangeable parts depending on what you like or how you feel. That is a big part of what playing blues is all about. To be able to change your mind mid song and play what you feel or hear in your head.
As I pointed out in the lesson some guitarists have intricate arrangements but others leave it open to interpretation as they play. Both are good and fulfill their purpose. But for this I want to see you all develop some individual ideas using what I am teaching as a jump off point.

Hey Duke! Wow, I loved this lesson! So much great advice from beginning to end. And nice to hear your singing too! I especially love the discussion about how to shape the arrangement by the chord voicings, the use of 3 note chords and so forth. Can't wait to see how this develops into the electric version.
