We're re-issuing one of Chris's most popular lessons with re-mastered video and updated loop points. From Chris:
Back in 2008-2010 I had the great pleasure of being the custodian of the late, great Charles Sawtelle's 1937 D-28. It is absolutely one of the most spectacular and unique guitars I've ever had my hands on. Fretboard Journal (a magazine you should definitely check out if you aren't already familiar) did a 2 page spread on the guitar coming out of retirement. They also shot a video of me playing it. I played Wildwood Flower because it to me was the perfect tune for getting me out of the way and showcasing the beautiful sound that the guitar had to offer.
So this week I'm showing you the "baseline" version of the tune that I was playing from in that video. It incorporates a bit of simple crosspicking and a simple but slight variation on the B-part. It's all pretty easy - there is a good investment to reward ratio here! So please enjoy!
