The guitar is a 1936 Gibson Kalamazoo with the ladder bracing recently replaced by X bracing. I think the bridge has been replaced at sometime too. According to the guy I bought it from, the bracing was the only difference between the cheaper Kalamazoos and the more expensive Gibsons of the time (L 00 series maybe?). He reckons it improved the sound considerably. Some people say that the guitar Robert Johnson is holding in the photo booth pic is a Kalamazoo. Now they are long fingers!
Hey thanks for all this. See uploaded video. This is what I have managed in about 10 weeks. I'm going to have to unsubscribe, because I learn so slowly & I haven't got a great deal of money to keep paying the subs. I will keep practicing and come back to learn another song sometime.
(PS - I already knew 'Key to the Highway' - also took about 6 months to get up to speed with that).
I dig the sound of your guitar and you are playing smoothly here. I would only suggest that you slow the tempo down and put more emphasis on the 'one'. Thanks for posting...your playing sounds good.

Thanks Bruce, I'm pleased with it too, but it took me a long time to get it - I haven't even started the rest of the song yet!

Too bad you're leaving, Andy. Your playing on this sounds really great. Hearing it inspired me to start working on it.

yes...as far as I know RJ liked Kalamazoo and Stella...It's a pity you quit Andy. I would have liked to see more video from you :)
Blind Blake stuff sounds very hard to me. Never heard anyone play like him.
