I thought I deleted that lastnight after some drinks.....oh well. I only meant the lack of dynamic interaction makes it hard for me to have 3 minutes of ideas to play without falling into rote patterns or what have you.
Corey I only posted this because I thought to show what I do...I certainly mean no disrespect to how you play this or anything else....I am a fan of yours and I am learning from you here..and i am grateful you are taking the time to show us your stuff.
this is just a quick and sloppy blast over that backing track...more to understand how I can upload stuff then a tour de force....I would never really play like this if I was playing with live and interacting humans.
okay Mike..let's see what I've left where.....I tried to post here then I think I may have tried to delete that...then I posted a very brief run through on the page for the first lesson of this...I am not happy to record myself so the lag gives me time to regret posting (I get too edgy when I know I am recording)
cool..thanks Duke, I can grab me some licks offa this one. I caught the licks outta Blues After Hours in there. I want to get my time right for the pinkie lick (6:56)..I can sort of squish that and I want it in hand and carefree... Imperial records!!
I really enjoyed this....some of the scalar things require me to think for myself (never a good i dea!! ; ) but this set of lessons is really nice...thanks Duke

nicely explained.....watching these lessons has me back playing a bit after a long break. It is just tricky to stay with it when I have so much more freedom of expression on my guitars.
gonna have to shed on that transition lick....I got a bunch of rag licks that do not slow down easily..like the striongs will not respond right at a slower pace. There are some Hendrix licks that are like that when I play em too.
and again I do not think that is a diminished after the F but rather a D with the third in the bass.
the so called Fdim seems more like aninversion of D to D7 since there is not a flatted fifth...It is easier for me to play that lick as a thumb over chord so I just move my thumb up a fret.....
nice nice nice....

thanks Mike..that is nice. I still think having the rhythm of the changes written out would be still better but this is very helpful
