Greetings Harry and thaks for posting. You have a nice alternating bass here throughout and your slide sounds good. There are a couple spots where the rhythm drops out a little but other than that the guitar sounds good. I would suggest that you start the song at a medium volume and then let it build. This is better than starting loud and then dialing it back to end the song. It's like hot sauce...you can always add more, but if you put too much in the pot you can't take it out. Keep it up...sounding good.
I have found myself moving my hand closer to the bridge for the main bass riff. It gives it a treble sound and using my left to mute the strings and then moving my hand to the middle for the higher notes... and using the palm to mute for that... does that sound right?
Thank you, the line I was guessing was.... well it's cold outside, people can't get no heat, and thats where I have to guess. If you can't print it here then I Know that my guess was right... Thank you again
It is pretty dry and mechanical right now. I learned a lot just filming myself, the first one I took off after 5 minutes. It's amazing how much you can learn watching yourself. I will work on making it smooth and sliding over the note and also into it. I am working on a beginning and end as well as a middle part. I'll post up with the national when I feel good with it. Thank you for the kind words about the tone. The lick starting on the G string forces your thumb to move back and forth, this is a great lesson for the alternating Bass.
I love the videos Corey, they have been a great help. I am trying to get all the words for High fever blues. I think I have most of them right but I can't find them anywhere, so I think I am guessing some of them. Do you have them posted anywhere?
