Thanks for the input. I've been aware of what my wife calls "guitar face" for a while. I'm only just now starting to apprectiate how it gums up the works.
Hi Chris, Backtracking a bit from my last video. I have been working on this tune off and on for a while. I have stared to dig into the next version, with the chromatic licks (fun!) but I've had a lot of issues playing the B section in time. For the most part I feel loose until I hit the end lick in both the A and B sections. Wanted to get some feedback before moving on to all the fun Clarence licks.
I'm playing a little hard here, which is probably part of problem.

Hi Chris, decided to sign up here after taking a couple of Skype lessons with you. I started workin this tune and I think it's just a little beyond me, but I did learn it by ear, which--sadly--I don't typically do. There's some flubs here, but I wanted to get some feedback earl.
Hey Robert, nice job figuring this out by ear! I have 2 comments: 1) try to look for a real sense of flow in your right hand where you are maybe more focused on the pick just playing steady notes, rather than actually worrying about getting the melody right. I think there might just be some degree of mechanical repetition and relaxation that could help. Might try playing the rhythm of the whole melody on just one open string, just to really find that open groove in your right hand. 2) You are jumping ahead on the beat slightly at 0:33 and 0:44 where the melody goes to the high B on the 7th fret of the E string. Make sure that you can sing it and tap your foot at the same time. Your foot should never have to depart from its regular rhythm (on this song, anyway) for it and the melody to be linked up. Sounding good, keep it up!
That was great Dan!
