Horton Shuffle

Sixth & Seventh Chorus Breakdown

Hi Everyone -

This week we will cover the next two choruses of my Big Walter Horton tribute. I start out by getting away from the more repetitive type of choruses and switch things up a bit. We’ll go over a short little double-time section, long drawn out bends, “duck quacks” and more! And of course, all the while, remember to let your tongue-blocked shuffle rhythm chords sneak in there between many of these licks!

Get ready to shuffle like Horton…

I do occasionally, but it is not necessary.

I hope the next video shows how to do a reed replacement on the one draw.

If you do enough "duck quack" 1 draws you wil certainly need to replace reeds, haha!
