Most definitely tongue-blocking for the first eight bars (and the whole tune pretty much). While holdig the harp and playing, it's a combination of moving the harp over with my hands, and slightly moving my mouth as well.
"El Cheapo"? See Dennis, you CAN speak Spanish. https://youtu.be/XKRQMCHlONU according to this video, drinking liquor helps. At least that's what the internet says...
I think you just have to suck it up (pardon the pun) for the first four bards. I play it softer on the first four bars and then get my air out on the blows of the IV. I think I let air leak out my nose too.
Not really, but you can if you want. Sometimes Walter would accentuate every OTHER downbeeat, in this case that would mean beats "1" and "3" which of course is the 3 draw in both cases. The triplet on those beats is 3-4-3 draw...the triplerts starting on beat "2" and "4" would be 4-3-4 draw.
I tried two different browsers. I'm able to record, then preview my video and hear sound but when I submit it here, I'm not hearing any sound from the video.

Hi Taylor --- this issue was likely your "noise reduction" on the microphone input. The first seconds of your original video were silent --- which triggered our "transcoding system" to think the whole video was silent. We will look to fix it in the next week or two.
Nice playing by the way. You got the groove! I'm sure Dennis will enjoy seeing it.
Very nice Taylor!! Phrasing is great and really got a good handle on the groove there, which is key with this tune, especially with the way he (and you) play the shuffle rhythm throughout. Very nice...looking forward to hearing you tackle more of this tune....
On "Blues Harp Shuffle" on the Background Listening, how is he making that sound at 00:17 sec? I hear him do that a lot and like it. Is he trilling his tongue and snorting at the same time or something?
I hope the next video shows how to do a reed replacement on the one draw.
If you do enough "duck quack" 1 draws you wil certainly need to replace reeds, haha!
Are you tounge blocking during the first eight bars? Also, are you moving your jaw back and forth or the harp?

During the triplets, are you playing the downbeat note slightly louder than the others?

Hi Taylor --- thanks for letting us know. We will look into this ASAP and let you know what we find.

Awesome! I bet if you use your hands to open and close at key spots in what you just played, it would be even awesomer! :)

He is rolling his tongue at that point. He does that on several recordings.
