Hello Folks,
This week are learning the intro (my own) and the we start the first verse of Tiny's. After I teach the intro, which is essential to the song, we learn the first four bars. The intro can be a bit rough for some so that's why we only get to the first four bars. Get this down and then we'll tackle the meat of the solo next week.
Enjoy!
Duke

Having trouble adding text in the same post of the video. No big deal I guess.
Here's a take below. I finished off the chorus just to see if I could work some of the stuff from the intro into a 12 bar, especially the part in the four. Looking forward to the next lesson for the real thing!!!
That's great Stevieboy! vgood use of the licks from the intro too. My wife thought she was listening to me! Duke
Thanks Duke. But I think your wife needs to get her hearing checked!
Hey Duke. What a great tune, and a very pretty intro. I love that chromatic double-stop lick! Absolutely beautiful. Thanks! Bruce
Good job Bruce, I would suggest when you start the verse after the intro, dont bend the strings so far. in this style of blues the bends are just a micro tone. in the old days everyone used heavier strings and the bends we much less far. if you train yourself to just bend a little you will be able to sounf like a guitarist from the 1940s at will whenever you want. Duke
Thanks Duke! I'll definitely keep that in mind!
