Hi Folks, This week we are doing a second solo chorus on "Rock Me Baby" and I borrowed part of two choruses of Peter Green's solo in "If You Be My Baby" which fits perfectly in "Rock Me Baby". I think you'll have lots of fun with this one!

Enjoy and keep the videos and audio coming folks...... Duke

Hello Brandon, You sound great and you have the feel. I would say with a groove this slow, you should try to relax your feel just a little bit to make it even groovier. Keep up the good work! Duke

Here's my vid, Duke and everybody. Bb's version and then some peter green. It's been really nice practicing set solos, definitely helps with discipline and phrasing, stops me from wanking off riffs everywhere. Working on putting it together into original stuff, thanks for the great lesson, Brandon

I do love Peter Green, But BB is just Granddaddy of it all. I wonder just how many blues players he has brought to the Blues. or just fans. Then how many guitarists he has helped.. Smoother, harder, louder or longer, there is only one BB King!

Duke,

Love the Peter Green vibes on this one. I play something in the same vein on Fleetwood Mac's "I Need your love so Bad".

Still need to work a little on timeing, but makeing it cry is what you got to shoot for here...

Ahh Duke - great lesson! Peter Green licks on a sweet sounding Les Paul, on a BB tune - it doesn't get much better does it? I'm going to spend some serious time with this lesson. Thank you !

Hi Alan, Yes that sound IS addicting isn't it? Duke

Hi Brandon, I don't have a push pull pot on my LP. I just put in a 4 conductor pickup and had it set for out of phase in the middle switch position. I do have guitars with push pull pot for switching back and for which of course is the best option for more tones. With P-90s you just reverse the lead and ground on one pickup and it's a bit easier and sounds great! Duke

Found this Fleetwood Mac album on youtube late last night after watching this lesson, already "wearing" it out myself. I love the sound of the out of phase les paul, can you explain a little bit more how you do that? Do you have a push pull pot to go back and forth? One of these days when I pick up a les paul of my own I'd like to do something like this. Thanks for the great lesson, Brandon

I absolutely love it!

Perfect choice Duke to fit in with Rock me Baby!

I flipped the magnet on the neck pickup of my RI Les Paul about a month ago and can't get enough of that tone. It opened a whole new world.

Alan
